On the second day of our Columbia River Gorge getaway, Jennifer Lekisch and I planned to do Augspurger Mountain (hike 38 in “Day Hiking Columbia River Gorge by Craig Romano). The previous day we had done an epic 19 mile loop that left us rather exhausted. When we reached the trail junction between Augspurger Mountain and Dog Mountain we decided to just do Dog Mountain (hike 37) instead. The Augspurger Trail is much quieter and less crowded than the Dog Mountain Trail – I recommend hiking Augspurger rather than the Dog.
Today my camera batteries petered out. Mental note: start my future adventures with fully charged camera batteries. Here are a few of the shots I did get before the camera stopped taking pictures.
